We are delighted to share that the December edition of our School Newsletter is now available.

This term has been as busy as ever and it has truly felt as though we have galloped towards Christmas, with so many exciting experiences taking place across the school. This edition captures a joyful and energetic end to the term, filled with learning, creativity and festive spirit.

Our Arctic Adventurers have been exploring habitats, weather and animals through technology and interactive learning, bringing curiosity and discovery to life in engaging and meaningful ways. Meanwhile, our Senior pupils have enjoyed looking back at how music was presented in decades gone by, sparking reflection, discussion and enjoyment through shared musical experiences.

It has also been fantastic to see more of our children and young people using the drive deck around the Centre. They are confidently applying the skills they are developing in class to move independently to different areas of their rooms and the wider Centre. Alongside this, we have some budding photographers who are now using their access methods and technology to take selfies with friends, celebrating communication, connection and independence.

Our Pupil Council has been busy too, meeting regularly to have their say in decisions that affect them. Their next focus is exploring what play looks like for them, what they enjoy, and what resources support their play. We look forward to bringing everyone’s ideas together in a digital story and seeing the creativity that emerges.

As we reach the end of term, we would like to thank all our pupils, families and staff for their hard work, energy and support. This newsletter reflects a truly joyful term, full of learning, laughter and plenty of festive cheer.

We hope you enjoy reading the December edition and celebrating another wonderful term at Craighalbert.
