Teacher
The Teacher role at Craighalbert is dedicated to delivering integrated learning, therapy, and care, empowering children with motor impairments and complex additional support needs to reach their full potential. By working closely with families, therapists, and partners, the teacher creates personalised learning programmes, enhances communication skills, and supports holistic well-being. This vital role helps children build meaningful skills for life, learning, and play, while contributing to the Centre’s mission of excellence in education, care, and therapy.
Learning, Care and Therapy Practitioner (LCTP)
The Learning, Care, and Therapy Practitioner (LCTP) role at Craighalbert is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people with neurological conditions. LCTPs play a vital role in delivering integrated education, therapy, and care, helping children achieve their full potential. This role involves working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create a safe, engaging, and child-centred environment.
LCTPs support children in educational and therapeutic activities, provide intimate care, and contribute to their holistic well-being. This is a rewarding position for those passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex needs.
Lunchtime Support Assistant (LSA)
The Lunchtime Support Assistant at Craighalbert provides essential care and support to children with multiple and complex additional support needs during the lunchtime period. The role involves assisting with eating, drinking, personal hygiene, communication, and social interaction, while ensuring each child’s dignity and wellbeing. By fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, the Lunchtime Support Assistant helps children develop independence and enjoy meaningful interactions, contributing to the Centre’s mission of enhancing the holistic wellbeing of children and young people with motor impairments and additional needs.
Augmented and Assisted Communication (AAC) Speech and Language Therapist
The AAC Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at Craighalbert plays a vital role in supporting children and young people with motor impairments and complex communication needs. By delivering high-quality, person-centered interventions, the role focuses on enabling learners to develop their communication skills and achieve their full potential. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the therapist contributes to creating an inclusive AAC culture, driving excellence in practice, and fostering collaboration with families and external partners. This position is integral to the Centre's mission of providing integrated learning, therapy, and care to improve the holistic wellbeing of children and young people across Scotland.
Support / Housekeeping
The Support and Housekeeper at Craighalbert is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. Their role involves maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across classrooms, therapy areas, and communal spaces, as well as supporting infection control through strict cleaning protocols and restocking supplies. By contributing to the Centre's upkeep, they help create a comfortable and supportive setting where children with motor impairments and additional needs can flourish
