On Wednesday 3rd August Alistair McPherson from Circle Insurance visited the Centre and presented us with a donation of £2,500 from Ecclesiastical Insurances' Closer to You Fund.

The donation has helped us to purchase a Grid Pad 10s AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device.

"The Grid Pad 10s from Smartbox is the latest exciting addition to our assessment kit. It is a purpose built Augment (AAC) device with additional features such as built-in environmental controls. The device has multi-access options meaning it can be accessed directly through touch or through alternative means such as switches or a joystick to meet the different needs of learners. It has a bright daylight display, high quality audio and a second screen for communication partners and very importantly it has been designed to be dust, splash and impact resistant - our children will be putting this to the test!"
