Craighalbert’s Parent Partnership has entered a fresh and exciting new chapter. Formerly the Parent Council, the group has officially transitioned to become the Craighalbert Parent Partnership, reflecting a shared commitment to One Craighalbert – a united, collaborative community where every family feels included, valued and supported.
This transition marks more than a change in name. It represents a renewed focus on partnership, connection and ensuring that the voices of families continue to play a central role in shaping the life of the Centre.
Since making this transition, the Parent Partnership has made excellent progress in establishing a strong foundation. They have chaired their first official Parent Partnership meeting, bringing families together to help shape a shared direction and priorities. A new constitution has been finalised, providing a clear and transparent framework for how the group operates, alongside the successful opening of a dedicated bank account to support effective and responsible financial management.
There has also been strong momentum in fundraising, with efforts already supporting upcoming activities and events for the Craighalbert community.
As part of building their team, the Parent Partnership currently has two of the three required office bearer roles in place and is now seeking someone to take on the role of Secretary. This is a valuable opportunity for any parent or carer who is organised, keen to be involved, or simply interested in contributing to a growing and supportive community.
To help strengthen communication and engagement, the group has created their first display boards within the Centre. These provide a welcoming space to share updates, celebrate progress and gather ideas from families. They are also developing stronger links with Early Intervention parents and are keen to explore how they can work more closely together to support families at all stages of their journey.

Looking ahead, there is plenty to be excited about. A special treat has been arranged for school pupils in Term 4, with more details to be shared soon. Planning and fundraising are also underway for the very first Craighalbert school disco, which promises to be a joyful and inclusive celebration for young people.
Families are encouraged to get involved and share their ideas. Suggestions for events, fundraising or other activities can be submitted via the envelope on the Parent Partnership display board in the Centre.

Together, this new chapter for the Parent Partnership reflects the strength of the Craighalbert community and a shared ambition to continue building something meaningful for all families.
