The magic of Christmas is here and we are thrilled to kick off the festive seasons at Craighalbert! December is always a special time for us, as we transform the Centre into a hub of Christmas joy, with a packed schedule of activities and events designed to bring fun and happiness to the children and families we support.
We know that for many of the children we work with, accessing traditional festive events can be incredibly challenging. Whether it is due to physical barriers, sensory sensitivities, or lack of understanding of complex needs, many Christmas activities are simply not accessible. At Craighalbert, we are committed to changing that. Our goal is to ensure every child has the same opportunities as their peers to celebrate, create memories and experience the wonder of Christmas.
This year, our Christmas Trail takes inspiration from the story The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. As families journey through our winter wonderland garden, they’ll encounter characters and scenes from the classic tale, each offering an activity designed to engage, delight, and include every child.
