We recently enjoyed a very positive joint INSET day with The Royal Blind School, an event that brought together classroom staff from both schools to collaborate and share insights.

This gathering was not only a chance to connect but also an opportunity to enhance our collective understanding of best practices in education.
The focus of our discussions and activities was centered around sections 2.2 and 2.3 of How Good Is Our School (HGIOS), which emphasize the importance of self-evaluation and the continuous improvement of educational standards. These sections guide schools in assessing their performance and identifying areas for growth.
It was fantastic to see staff actively engaging in professional dialogue, exploring the school environment, and beginning to develop a shared language around learning and progress.
We are excited to build on this positive momentum with future day exchanges and further moderation opportunities during upcoming Inservice days. These planned initiatives will not only reinforce the connections made during this INSET day but also provide ongoing support for staff as they implement new strategies in their classrooms.
We look forward to continuing this journey of professional growth, ensuring that we are all equipped to provide the best possible learning experiences for our students.
